How come these ‘owners’ can’t seem to respond to the basic training that you can’t have something that’s banned or illegal ?

They’re such ‘amazing animals’ that they’re banned in dozens and dozens of countries around the world. Were all of those owners incapable of being trained as well ?

You CAN train owners and removing the prohibited breeds to a lesser list will mean community awareness and training sessions for the owners that want to keep these amazing animals.
Awareness and education is KEY!

Humans can be trained to. Does that make us safe?
Dogs are living breathing and intelligent beings. Given the right amount of training, socialization and proper care…just like humans they can be active and even productive working members of society.

It’s about the likelihood of attacks, as all breeds can be trained, but it is about the severity of various breeds when they do.

That is generally true. The problem is that you can’t train owners. A dog is going to be a dog. It is about as smart as & will take advantage of it’s situation like a human 2 year old.

Unfortunately one specific breed immediately pops into mind when reading these releases but the world over , in dozens and dozens of countries , they are outright banned . Bermuda is hardly an exception .
Of course all we hear is that the dogs can be trained , or there’s no such thing as a bad dog just bad owners .
Well , if that’s true there must be many millions of bad dog owners in many places around the world.

Oddly though , never , ever do we hear when an owner is tried in court for an horrendous attack by one of their dogs we hear them say

‘I am a bad owner who never trained my dog’ .

And despite no training their dog was always the sweetest thing on 4 legs that never even bit its own fleas and was so protective of even infants !
