This from folks whose brothers and sisters fought so hard for their rights. This whose cousins like Rosa Parks refused to sit in the back of the bus.
What Premier Burt’s Government are doing is legislating that gays can no longer sit in the front of the bus. History was made in Bermuda on May 5th 2017 by The Supreme Court of Bermuda granting marriage equality.
In just 6 short months the Progressive Labor Party are rolling back rights for the #lgbtq community in #Bermuda
It’s nothing short of outrageous and a complete affront to human decency.
When a government that calls itself “Progressive” would do such a thing, I am reminded of a quote, as we bang the drum for marriage equality:
“This is what I fight for, this is what I write for. What side of history do you want to be on?”
