The driving test is short and not too comprehensive, it is designed to check VERY BASIC competence. Some of the people who have theses’accidents’ have had their licences many years and had more than enough time to ‘sharpen their skills’ Getting drunk and driving as fast as a car can go was never any part of any driving test. There needs to be more enforcement of traffic laws, the enforcement is currently sloppy,inappropriate and heavily prejudiced toward the ‘low-hanging fruit’ In addition it is seldom present during the early hours of the morning when a lot of these ‘accidents’ happen.
