What the Peoples Campaign is advocating is good old fashioned socialism. Unfortunately, it has never worked yet.

Your suggestion that everyone position themselves to earn a livable wage is good on the surface, but it fails to take account of the fact that people come with varying abilities to work, and those varying abilities are not purely knowledge based. Some people do have limited academic abilities, but some people with outstanding brain power also have substantial family commitments and cannot work the hours that other people can.

The “p.s.” is simply an attack on a perceived class of Bermudian girls/women and is neither helpful nor an accurate reflection of our problems.

The problem with that theory is that if it’s so then the children of these babymamas really don’t have that the luxury of that position and it just makes it that much harder to get to that position. Now you’ve probably heard of success stories that come out of tragedies like these which you think gives you the right to slight those who don’t make it. Now the problem with that before you even start, is that many tragedies have success stories but those stories never slight the victims.
