How about bald tires , and incorect tire pressure on vertually every vehicle out there.
No body can not determine tire pressure by just looking at the tire.
Correct tire pressure for your vehicle is critical.
Most gas station attendants dont know correct tire pressure for each and every vehicle out there.

HAND BRAKE / FOOT BRAKE / GEAR BOX.

Vehicle break away.

The hand brake may not be applied with sufficient pressure to hold the vehicle say, on a incline.

It is wise while parking, to apply the foot brake at the same time as the hand brake, there by giving aditional force to the brake pads while appling the hand brake.

For added parking security place the manual gear stick in a low gear, automatic vehicles the gear leaver should be places in “park “.

In adition,it is always a good practice when parking to turn the steering towards the curb or road side as a safety precaution.

Never vacate a vehicle unless the brakes and gear are securely locked in place with the enging turned off.

Aditional precautions are necessary if the vehicles a heavily loaded , wheel chocks may be required.

It is always good practice before moving off to apply the foot brake prior to releasing the hand brake.

MALFUNCTIONS.
If there is insufficient hand brake pressure applied the vehicle will not stay put.
Hand brake cables and joints have been known to rust out and break .
The hand brake ratchet system may fail or the rachet is not firmly engaged.
Worn out breal pads.
Surface rust on the brake disk or brake drum.

It is the same for bikes , engine off parked in gear and steering locked !

Thankfully nobody was hurt, That car shouldn’t have been parked on that road as there is a yellow line which means no parking. Maybe this will teach him a lesson!
