Extend for 6 months? So they can’t find anything yet to blame on the OBA so let’s keep it going. In other news, garbage is down to once a week and bus routes are down by hundreds because there is no money for garbage trucks or buses. $20 million recovery from Port Royal would buy many garbage trucks and buses to benefit Bermudians. Instead hire more Government people to do nothing. Way to go PLP.

I sincerely hope that the findings of this committee are made public. Expose to the sunlight, the strategy and planning that put those officers in a position where they were forced to decide to use pepper spray. The officers who actually sprayed the crowd were justified and yet were demonized by many on a certain ‘side’. Anyone who has an IQ above room temperature would know that close examination of the decisions of BPS Senior Management is where any blame might lay. Nobody ‘ordered the pepper spraying’ – that has been clear from day one. A thorough review of the decision making of those senior officers involved needs to take place with ALL documentation available – notes made during the planning process, diaries, emails, whatsapp messages, logs of phone calls, etc. What was considered? What contingency plans were there? Who was in charge of this? Any organization should welcome an open and transparent review (some would say one already took place) of an incident like this.

Exactly, the video clearly shows law breakers being encouraged and the police handling the situation the best way they could. The extension proves only that there is nothing of substance here.
