What is clear however, is that it’s not exactly inclusive is it?

And, it has about as much grounding in reality as the PLP platform, so perhaps it is appropriate.

Why can’t white people (or people who aren’t black), enjoy the Wakanda theme? Was the Black Panther movie only designed for black people? Did no white people watch and enjoy the film?

I’d like to think that a white person could attend the gala, just the same way that a black person could attend say a Vikings-themed or Chinese-themed party.

There are several things to be frustrated with or outraged at the PLP itself, but this shouldn’t even be in the same neighborhood.

AND JENNIFER SMITH, A “NO INDEPENDENCE IN OUR FIRST TERM AND NOT IN OUR SECOND, AND MAYBE NOT EVER” IS NOW TOUTING INDEPENDENCE???? HAVE THESE PEOPLE LOST THEIR EVER LIVING MINDS????? YOUNG PEOPLE TAKE NOTE! Especially the Youth of BERMUDA! The money these clowns spent perpetuating IS PROOFTHAT THEY DON’T GIVE A DANG ABOUT YOU! NONE OF THEM ARE TRYING TO BUILD A SELF-SUSTAINING ECONOMY! Anywhere from $30-50 Thousand dollars was spent on tickets to glorify foolery. Explain how the concept of Wakanda, a (fictional) nation is racially divisive. One would think the history of how Africa was torn up during colonization and concepts of apartheid and the like, would be a more suitable target of anger?

Would modern-day Kenya or Nigeria or Congo be more palatable to the ’40%’?

As for the hosting of galas, well it’s established that the PLP have held these events for some time now on a regular basis, they seem to be popular and seem to raise money for the party’s coffers (and whatever charities they choose). For whatever reason the OBA and UBP before it don’t take this route with regard to fundraising. But is that the fault of either party that this is the situation?
