This has been going on since mobylette racing along north shore, difference is there was respect for the police in those days, the youth (and most of Bermy) no longer respect the police for many many reasons so no amount of appeals will work, maybe some proper policing will.

We close down the city and select roads for cycling and triathlons, they could have sections of road closed
once in a while for riders to show their skills.

I saw the clip, and this action lasted a for brief periods of 30 to 45 seconds , nothing new. … the riders know it is foolishness ..fun to themselves…but don’t see the serious harm they can do to themselves….had the police showed up a chase may have ensued and lives lost as persons sought to get away. These persons are not likely to go Southside to burn up energy and develop their skills.

And what of the motocross riders roaring up and down Queen Street at 3:00pm on Easter Sunday before exiting via Par-la-ville north? Complete disregard for traffic laws, no license and likely no insurance. Competition number 7 on the front.

Darwins method of thinning the herd. It is very effective however there are always those who will play the odds. We all did stupid stuff at least a few times. Most of us were fast learners & stopped before we wound up in ER, or worse.

I have no problem with bike tricks however the road is not the place to do them.

I can appreciate what the different riding clubs are saying. However the question is, do they have stunt riding events at their locations? I personal don’t know. I notice the uptick in people wanting to try extreme bike trick too. I think this form of motocross is called Freestyle motocross or FMX. I’m sure you know this. However is there an outlet for it? I know we have the location, but do you have this type of events?
