It has become a place to be seen drinking and partying. This is well and good but during certain moments, it should be noted what Relay for Life is all about.

The survivor/caregiver lap is important and should be noted as such. There were people on the track that should not have been at the time that they were walking.

During the Luminaria lap, it should be a special time for those that are fighting this terrible disease and for loved ones to remember those that have lost their fight. Even though the lights were turned off, people were not silent and continued to drink and carry on.
