The only division is what the ubp or oba has done for years. They created the mess we are in. It was only division when black Bermudians spoke up. When the the UBP was in charge speaking up would get a black Bermudian white washed. Thus the very reason people were afraid. Times have change. People like you want to live in the 70s and 80s when people of color said nothing. Go read CV Jim Woolridge’s book “those little white boys don’t mind you being in charge as long as they can tell you what to do” coming from a man that was big in the UBP.

If the UBP was so great why change the name to OBA? Switching names hoping to get the black voters to return was a failed idea. Now you have Craig as the leader, it’s hilarious to see how low and desperate the UBP has become. Why did all the black voters leave and swing to the PLP is only problem you need to solve. After that you won’t need to have a black leader to generate votes or change the name. Both PLP and OBA might be equal, but it’s better that someone create a 3rd party similar to the BDA. The oba will never win again.

Only PLP supporters think that halving the PLP $400mn deficit, attracting international sporting events to our shores, getting tourism n track, ensuring that’s massive construction projects gets of the ground (you know the same ones that the rating agencies base their positive outlook on) as doing a pack.

But yet you support a party that pays their former leader overall a million of taxpayer monies, drop civil lawsuits against other PLP MPs for ‘interesting’ public contracts, sees Bermuda get blacklisted, has raised every tax and fee possible contradicting their promise to lower their cost of living etc.

@ Onion Juice: clearly you weren’t aware of “It’s That Kind of Party”. This young man and his partner reported on and discussed, with intelligence and non-partisanship, many issues during the OBA’s tenure and after.
He showed insight and a fine grasp of what our country needs back then and demonstrably continues to display those same characteristics in his current senatorial position.
I consider his appointment to the Senate to be one of the best moves made by the OBA to date.

@Take it easy. The fund has been there for 2 years. Forget the AC. What projects have started using the fund, and how many Bermudians have been employed? It’s a simple question but it seems all you have is the AC, which provided many jobs and made Bermuda a lot of money. Don’t believe? Ask ferry captains and crew, taxi drivers, electricians, plumbers, construction workers, Island Construction, media, tax receipts, home owners, restaurants, and more. By the way, it took place over a 2 year period.

The fund will be used to put Bermudians back to work unlike the OBA who used taxpayer dollars to build perfectly useless pavilion at Cross Island when we had a perfectly good option for AC viewing at Morgan’s Point!
