First & foremost our officers are human just like you and I, so they are going to have “accidents”! Perhaps the Commissioner needs to re-evaluate the 12 hour shifts our officer are working, and have the Police Vehicles serviced more regularly…these care are being driven 24 hours a day 365 days a year…What type of condition would you be in if someone worked you 24/7/365?!

As a first time tourist I am horrified at the lack of safe pedestrian walkways available especially around major areas like Hamilton south beaches etc.
we believe health is wealth but running here from my doorstep is NOT an option as I might get hit by a car truck or stupid twizzie

How many miles per crash do their vehicles do vs police services in other urban areas? For fun what is the average for the private driver? Some of us have managed well over 40 years & hundreds of thousands miles crash free.

Some civilians are better riders and drivers than the Police. They teach the Police to drive too defensive.

It’s not always the police’s fault. The attitude on the roads is despicable. Just take the lady in the Hyundai Accent at the IronKids triathlon on Saturday. Wanted to leave but the road was closed. In the end decided to try to run over the police lady who had on numerous occasions had to tell her to stop. Not sure there was any repercussions for her, but there damn well should have been! To physically hit a police officer who had been forced to stand in front of your car because you could not be trusted to obey the said police officers instructions…
