The problem is that you and those like you seem to think that your beliefs should affect other people.

What I’m fighting for? It’s what YOU would be fighting for in pretty much any other situation.
If it was religion or race or anything else people were looking to use as a reason to discriminate against folks, you’d be right next to me in the fight for equality.

But because it’s something YOU don’t like, it’s ok with you.

That’s something you should really be ashamed of.

There’s a reason though that legislation in Western democracies was designed to be independent of religion. Otherwise we’d have to criminalize adultery, for example.

And your religion is yours. No one else has to follow it.

When is this going to get through?

You wouldn’t accept someone else demanding that your life be negatively affected by THEIR religion, would you?

So why is it ok to demand that folks be treated as less than equal because of yours?

Just because YOU don’t like it doesn’t mean that they aren’t allowed to do it.

The side that believes that people shouldn’t be discriminated against for no reason. The side that believes in equality. The side that believes in truth and fairness and kindness.
The question is: why aren’t YOU on that side?

None of this is relevant.

People have a right to assemble, even if you don’t approve.

Your entire argument is basically: why can’t you tolerate intolerance?

That’s not how it works.

Why is it that people are expected to be tolerant of folks that want to hurt them? Why are we supposed to be respectful and polite to those who want to treat our friends and family as less than full citizens, as unworthy of rights?

I see a statement that talks about celebrating diversity and creating inclusive societies. Nothing about mandating that everybody should partake of such celebration?

The social justice communities preach love and tolerance… yet when someone doesn’t fall into place as desired they are branded bigots, narrow-minded, etc.

How tolerant are you really if you only tolerate beliefs that you yourself believe in, and anyone else who disagrees is considered ignorant or bigoted?

It always the right time to do the right thing and these quote captures bold leadership.
