Bermudians are the most lasiest people on this planet,no one wants to work but they just want to get a hefty pay check as well as promotion but are completely relying on expats.
Have stayed and worked in Bermuda for a year and saw that there is much more discrimination at work front and now once new owners will come to the market i hardly see any

Karin Alibhai, Gencom Founder says “Luxury is about ‘service’ more than anything”. From the 1920’s into the very early 1970’s Bermuda hotels and all stakeholders worked together to maintain Bermuda’s reputation for ‘service’ because they understood the importance of ‘service’ when it came too visitors choosing Bermuda for their holiday destination. Hopefully Gencom has the patience to do the required renovation and proved the necessary assistance to earn the ‘service’ rating the Fairmont Southampton didn’t quite achieve.
Kevin Dallas will find that this is more than a new era for this property, it will be a new era for the BTA too. The BTA relies heavily on ‘build it they will come’ idea for increasing leisure visitor numbers; Gencom with their two Bermuda investments will not rely on the BTA too put ‘heads in de beds’. A whole new vision for Bermuda tourism will have to be developed.

Given that Gencom wants to update the resort “for leisure and group travelers from all over the world.” Can we serious look to get another flight to the Europe region or better yet to Middle East or Asia? A once or twice a week Dubai International Airport hop might make for a great link to that market.
