Two and a half years after being elected (July 2017) and that commission overseen by Jamahl Simmons what has he done? He was hot to get rid of the head and have him replaced. He got his wish and has done what since? It is disgusting that the public are asked to pay more taxes to pay for his disaster AND reward him by paying him a salary too!. How much are we paying each month for rent, utilities, wages, legal fees and so on? Instead of doing something we now have another government arm that is adding to our debt because the minister in charge that knew it all and had all the answers – does nothing.

Many said he was ineffective when he was with the UBP and appears to be no different now with the PLP. Either lead, follow or get out of the way!

To put this in perspective to you all a 1,000 acre resort in Bahamas called Baha Mar with 2,200 rooms and 284 residences and 100,00 square foot casino, golf courses, waterpark etc was built in five years. Our government is yet to even announce that they have issued a licence to a single property that will likely simply renovate a small area to accommodate a small casino.

What exactly is the problem, what are they waiting for and why have they not even announced that a single licence has been issued. Do we have tons of money? Is everyone employed? By the way, why isn’t the opposition asking questions and making statements about this. The OBA did all the grunt work! Jahmal and co have the easy part to do. How much has his failure to do his job cost us? I’m not just talking expenses either. How many people know of a bartender, waiter, technician, maintenance person, manager that might benefit from a job in this new industry?
