Then 5 new cases.

March 31st: “ As of today, there are nine cases of local transmission.”

0 plus 5 equals 9? I wonder if their are deliberately or accidentally misleading the public.

At several press conferences including yesterday’s he says “ There is no confirmed local transmission that has taken place at this time.”

Then after 5 more positive cases today he says “As of today, there are nine cases of local transmission.”

Somehow 0 plus 5 is 9. Burt math. So is he making up the numbers or are they just wrong? Either way not very credible information.

Please understand that this situation is going to be ongoing until further notice. No I don’t believe that we will return to complete normality as of Monday however I do anticipate some level of de-escalation as more strict and government controlled quarantine will be put in place for any and every flight that arrives. Please note 3 cases are still under investigation because for whatever reason people have decided not to do what they are supposed to do on their own. We saw just this weekend that 9 individuals were not where they were supposed to be and they have decided in response that instead of the 3rd offense giving you a prison sentence it is now the second offense. So in summary the threat is still very real. Public transportation is a high risk so no I don’t see that happening. The classroom is another high risk place and we have to understand that it’s literally a life and death situation so at best we will see certain establishments that keep the island running a lot better coming back online but still on high alert with limited accessibility. Basically and I don’t like the term under these circumstances we will have a skeleton crew to operate what we can at this point. However I would suggest that the school year would have to continue into the summer months so that the curriculum can be fulfilled. Have a blessed day.

32 cases of the coronavirus and today the clubs associated with the BFA are debating when they should restart their season. The English FA terminated the season for all Football teams below division 2 yet the BFA are unable to terminate a season that is largely decided as it relates to promotions and relegations. A select group of club administrators are obsessed with playing 1 final game involving 10 teams- that will require 180 players to prepare for. It boggles the mind that when players should be having a singular focus, ie, staying healthy and eventually returning to work if they havrvbeen laid off, the BFA wants them to also focus on completing an amateur league that as I previously stated, is mostly completed.

Bizarre – uncaring – irresponsible and possibly unenforceable particularly if 1 club decides that they will not comply with this edict. I’m reasonably certain that if a club is unable to field a team because their players refuse to train for the restart of the season and then refuse to play a game that if played will take place 8 weeks ( minimum ) after the season normally ends that those teams can be punished for not complying. . I’m unsure how the BFA can demand that players comply with new dates if those players have made alternative plans that conflict with whatever new date the association concludes is viable. The season normally ends at the end of March / 1st week of April however given the state of play at the moment it’s impossible that any restart will take place prior to the end of May.

The Premier cannot predict the future at this point in particularly as the numbers are increasing and not declining.

April 6th was estimated to return during the early stages of Coronavirus.

This has only just begun. I’d be surprised if anything is opening up on April 6th. Besides grocery stores and the police, regiment, fire and emergency medical personnel. And who knows how much longer those services will last before the soldiers start falling too. Because everyone that IS off, is out at the grocery stores infecting everyone else.
