Great job premier Burt. Glad to have you at the helm. What is the point in being an over seas territory when the UK leave us hanging at times like this. The great British empire is no more. The queen and her nobility were only ever interested in what profits they could make from their common wealth anyway. Declare independence now Bermuda. The truth is we are on our own anyway. Not a single test kit delivered by the UK to Bermuda and no protective equipment for our health care professionals, just empty promises. Well done PLP for independently sourcing test kits and I believe we have a plane coming from China with protective equipment on Thursday.

While it looks like we are preparing for the projected results of the pandemic we are all still a bit confused about the following as relates to the hundreds of small businesses that have been closed: while financial support for employees is appreciated why is there no help for businesses that have been force closed to pay their rents or lease payments, this failure is going to cause a huge amount of small businesses to collapse during this time, also what relief from the Corporation of Hamilton, all C of H taxes should be cancelled for the months ahead for the companies that are closed, especially since theres no services from the C of H right now. Its going to take all the small businesses in Bermuda to re- start our economy but if they are no longer there it wont happen , add to that the jobs that will be lost, we need to look ahead

Today three of the confirmed cases came on BA. One on the 13th, one on the 15th and one on the 17th. If the incubation period is between 5 and 14 days how come the two on the 13th and 15th are positive on the 30th. They should have been given the all clear on the 27th and 29th respectively. I’m confused.

I do not think the statistics presented by the government today are transparent. Wording they gave is technically correct but missing a small detail.

The question to ask is about the link between the two new confirmed cases that had close contact with a previously confirmed case…they did not specify if the previously confirmed cases they came from were imported or were one of the 2 unknown cases. I strongly suspect the latter and I hope one of the news agencies will ask for a comment on this.

The govt still claim there is no confirmed case of local community transmission…but if I am correct this just means they are considering untraceable cases as just that and not community transmission…

You would think with a budget of around $2.75m they could have the broadcast on time and microphones. Apparently not. The Communications Dept is clearly an employment agency, much like a large part of Government.

While I absolutely applaud the fantastic work Premier Burt and his Cabinet are currently doing with regards to their management of the entire COVID-19 situation, PLEASE, PLEASE can you make sure that your extremely helpful daily Press Conferences INCLUDE MICROPHONES to the persons asking questions. The lack of hearing the questions makes nonsense of the valued responses by the Premier and his Minister’s. Please ensure we can hear the questions so as to make sense of the answers. Thank you.
