Uh… it LITERALLY says that in the article. They’re trying to slow the spread of this virus by making their customers wear masks.
And a business is allowed to deny service to anyone they want for not obeying their rules. It really isn’t against the law.

It’s people like you that just don’t understand the severity of the situation we’re in. If you can’t respect the wellbeing of the essential workers who put their lives on the line so you can enjoy your everyday comforts, you deserve to contract the virus. And if you don’t want to shop there, I’m sure the staff at the supermarket will appreciate your decision to not infect them with your hatred.

From WHO website: “If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with suspected 2019-nCoV infection”. I don’t think making everyone wear a mask is a good idea, it’s only going create a shortage for frontline workers, people who really need them.

A perfect example of a private business not having to wait for a government-led solution. This makes sense and is simple and easy to implement. The same could have put in place to prevent so-called reports of hoarding. 1 case of toilet paper at a normal price 2 or more cases at triple normal price.

that’s fair enough and yes, we can make them, but I would be much more reassured if they were medical standard, can we ship them in and distribute?

Wearing a mask is to prevent you from spreading it. You can still catch it with one on. This isn’t law it’s policy and denying service to the public is against the law. What a bunch. I wont be shopping their y, too damn expensive, meant for the rich!

Thanks HH, smart move on your part not waiting for official guidlines, yesterday a certain police officer drove up to Market Place parked in the no parking zone then waltzed into the shop with no face protection at all, another white-shirt cop came in right after him with no mask either, bad example. Half the customers and half the staff wore none as well.
