If the CDC is saying anyone over the age of 60 are most at risk then why are people 60-64 put at risk in our grocery stores?

Since Friday is a holiday I wonder if the Premier could relax the alphabet shopping for one day only on Saturday April 11th and let everybody shop to do their last minute Easter shopping no matter what your name is

I think – as a non lawyer – Government really needs to take a breath and a step back, rather than trying to shoehorn the on-the-fly announcements of Friday evening into the Regulations that were clearly signed hours before. The guidelines in the article seek to incorporate restrictions by reference to 9(1) and 9(2)….the first doesn’t give any scope for changing the rules and and the second can only be used to amend delivery regulations. Whilst 9(3) refers to both in store and delivery (in parentheses) it isn’t amendable In by 9(2). At least there was no attempt to include the “nearest store” restriction mentioned in Friday!

The new guidance also doesn’t meet the requirements to change what is “appropriate social distancing”…..

To be entirely clear: I support all of the restrictions – but we should get the legal foundation completely solid, otherwise in three, four, five weeks of this there might be unrest and chaos. Knee jerk reactions and seeming to panic will lose the support of our Nation.
