agree to many questions are being sugar coated and glossed over and circumvented. Just come out with it the truth. The numbers are not adding up.It is a tough job to try and handle but you would be better served to come out with the real story. The first case was identified on April 10 ….
“Since then, there were two further cases identified on 14 April and 20 April respectively. ….
Starting tomorrow all residents and staff members will be tested for COVID-19.”…

Let’s face it – there were not enough tests to start testing earlier, were there.
Yet all this time, we have been ‘aggressively testing’ .. LMAO!

Clearly Bermuda like the rest of the world has struggled to put their hands on testing equipment.
My problem the is the Government would be better off to tell the truth about the situation. We have been told about aggressive testing, testing capacity, potential capacity if we are fully staffed in these press conferences. What the public really want is straight answers like how many test get done every day followed by their results the next day.

Wilson and the rest of the clown car should be held directly accountable. Bet you my last dime if this rest home was in a PLP stronghold testing would have been done immediately. Government is showing their true colors and politicizing testing. Hope they have some good lawyers.

The staff at senior residential facilities should have been first tested, and retested. You’ve been in 24 hr lockdown and have 100 known cases?!!

I’m sorry, but this sounds like complete incompetence! Why are they testing everyone tomorrow when they’ve had a positive case for over a week? Especially when these are our most vulnerable and we’ve known about this virus and it’s severity for months!

I have a grandparent at Westmeath and this terrifies me. I know a lot of things are inevitable, but this seems lousy and I’m not sure on whose behalf.

A contingency plan should’ve been made weeks ago, at the very least.

So !!! How come they are only Testing the Residents and Not the Staff ? The staff have family who they can pass the virus on to . Thus the transmission goes on undetected till someone gets sick n dies Smdh . Is these some type of privilege not to the public know ?

Another thing to note is that some of the staff in these homes are over 65 where else in the world do you have senior citizens as aides and nurses in retirement homes crazy disaster on all levels waiting to happen

If the first case was identified April 10 why has their isolation ended today. Isolation is recommended for 14 days. Why hasn’t testing been done at the home upon learning of the first case? Where is the urgency to make sure this virus doesn’t spread like wild fire?
Has contact tracing started on these individuals?

This has been well known for over a week yet the minister has refused to acknowledge it. How many other positives are there that the minister refuses to divulge? Transparency and honesty will save a Government, the opposite applies. Don’t treat the public as idiots. How many positives and negatives are there from the 209 tests on those in quarantine and allowed to leave today? Another PR gaffe just like the delay in releasing the models to show how many deaths are expected. Bermuda probably has more actuarial experts on the island per capita than anywhere else in the world so why aren’t they being involved?
Lastly, when will the government announce serious reductions in the cost of the civil service? If they won’t then the new lenders of debt will and it won’t be open to negotiation.
