You are correct. Numbers without context don’t mean much. Include the number of people and categories they have exempted and you have a large percentage that are allowed to drive around.

Who cares how many people got stopped really, when are we going to have the much touted aggressive testing so we can develop some useful data so we can at least partially open back up when the time is right . You probably don’t care to much as you and most employed by government are getting full pay cheques whilst many are expected to survive on a fraction (500$) of their normal income.

That is a bit of a deceptive number. How many were the same vehicle stopped outbound & on the return trip? Saturday was a normal shopping day for half the population. Of course many of them would be out. Friday & Sunday essential service people would be going to & from work. They get stopped too.

So, how many were out for no good reason? Deduct all those who were out for valid reasons to be sure there were too many out for no good reason at all.
