Someone needs to question the Minister on the “R” number which she says is below 1. Of course it is. It is an actuarially derived number based on the infection rate. No new infections in 2 weeks means the number is 0. Clearly she doesn’t understand how the number is calculated. Not her only weakness.

Now let’s see what happens when flights from the US begin next week. If after a week the positives are 0 then let’s go back to normal. Never happen.
