It’s simple. It is illegal to deny a returning resident an opertunity to come home. If a resident test positive before returning then who is going to take care of them for the next 14 days in a foreign country?????!! Pay attention to the laws and stop complaining. Why why why. Educate yourself before making comments!

Why put all these good measures in place to keep us safe but then we don’t test our own before departing other countries…….makes NO sense…..come on bda government, you’ve been doing a fantastic job! Let’s not drop the ball now at the expense of our people!!!

The test is a false sense of security for that moment. You can still pick up the virus a day later by touching contaminated objects and later touching your eyes or mouth where it enters. Wash your hands remain so many feet apart and don’t touch those body parts. Eat everything with a fork and knife even burgers and hot-dogs Just think that everything has poop on it including your hands. That way you will practice not doing what we all are guilty of doing touching the face!!!

Absolutely yes! In addition, is it not time government stipulated that travel is only for emergency reasons. Of course there are times when people must go. Other than that, the shoppers and holiday makers need to stay at home.

Presumably untested returning residents are isolated on each flight, otherwise they can infect visitors who were tested and would now be required to quarantine. Result – very unhappy visitors. However this has never been mad public, but should.

Government set the mandatory pre-testing for visitors not the airlines, they should require it.

At this stage of the pandemic it is unacceptable that every traveller into Bermuda doesn’t have to have a pre test. Bermudians and Bermuda residents should all be required to have a test before returning. Tests are available privately in many locations (they have to be paid for) and it needs to be done.

It is about time this Government revise its policy how can we boast being the most stringent in the world when we continue to allow Bermudians to travel home without a pre test . They put every single person they come in contact with and potentially everything they touch could become contaminated this has to be changed …no test no travel and if the Government wont do it I hope the airlines refuse to let them board the plane. This double standard must end

All good questions… to whom can they be put so that we actually get answers… and possibly a change in policy to require ALL persons flying to Bermuda to be pre-tested? I would think the other passengers could have a valid claim that they are being discriminated against since they have to jump through the hoop just to be exposed on the plane by others who don’t. Mind you, I suppose all those visitors could decide not to fly to Bermuda.

Isn’t it past time for Bermuda to “request” all carriers serving Bermuda to make pre-tests mandatory?
