How do you know that anything written in your book is true? How did you rule out all of the other holy books and religions?

ACTS 28:23-28
“They now arranged for a day to meet with him, and they came in even greater numbers to him in his lodging place. And from morning to evening, he explained the matter to them by bearing thorough witness concerning the Kingdom of God, to persuade them about Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets. Some began to believe the things he said; others would not believe. So because they disagreed with one another, they began to leave, and Paul made this one comment: “The holy spirit aptly spoke through Isaiah the prophet to your forefathers, saying, ‘Go to this people and say: “You will indeed hear but by no means understand, and you will indeed look but by no means see. For the heart of this people has grown unreceptive, and with their ears they have heard without response, and they have shut their eyes, so that they might never see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn back and I heal them.”’ So let it be known to you that this salvation from God has been sent out to the nations; they will certainly listen to it.”

MATTHEW 13:14-17

For truly I say to you, many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things you are observing but did not see them, and to hear the things you are hearing but did not hear them.”

ISAIAH 6:8-10
“Then I heard the voice of Jehovah saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said: “Here I am! Send me!” And he replied, “Go, and say to this people: ‘You will hear again and again, but you will not understand; You will see again and again, but you will not get any knowledge.’ Make the heart of this people unreceptive, Make their ears unresponsive, and paste their eyes together, so that they may not see with their eyes and hear with their ears, so that their heart may not understand and they may not turn back and be healed.”

We, Jehovah’s Witnesses, have a process for those who wish ‘not’ to have their doors knocked on. Simply, ask a Jehovah Witness to add you to their “Do Not Call List.” We will then not call on your home. We in no way want to disturb our neighbors. Our purpose to call on our neighbors is Bible-based (Matthew 28:19, 20). We feel the urgent need to share with our neighbors the good news in the Bible and we do so out of love for neighbor.
