It sure doesn’t feel like progress, isn’t the Southampton Princess now closed for a very long while?

We are open – the covid testing is a bit of a pain for tourists, long queues etc, but we are open. The Govt should be telling the UK that, Canada that, Ireland that.

And there should be hotel deals (I don’t see any).

That would be real Mr Jones, leave the marketing speak, nobody is watching the tennis this year. Cut deals with hotels, then tell people.

These BTA people are grabbing at every straw to create the appearance of our money well spent! Like that reference to Bermuda logo at US Open in the background when the player hit the umpire! Total BS!

I want to know what $ actually result in a seat on a plane. That’s all. The rest is BS marketing pixie dust!!

I love this marketing speak.

“When Hollywood heavyweight Issa Rae visited the island over Labour Day weekend, …….. Our digital team is leveraging her posts with an invitation to would-be visitors and a link to our Bermuda-bound traveller page”

So, what actually happened was that she flew to Bermuda, on her own dime, and the BTA are retweeting. And they claim that as making progress.

The Tourism Guest Fee should be ‘paused’ for at least a year to show visitors Bermuda is helping too make their visit more enjoyable.
The gotobermuda.com website needs more help than ‘landing pages’; banners directing and or linking the site visitor to the information they would need before making any reservations should be on the ‘first page’. The ‘Information for Travellers’ the latest information for Bermuda bound travellers dated September 9, 2020 is buried in the website. BTA continues to put out ‘press releases’ about what is on the website but they obviously don’t check too see if site visitor’s can readily find the material. SMH
