On another note, pearman says Burt is steadily marching us towards independence. Once again the OBA pulls out the independence bogeyman. Where has Burt or the PLP mentioned independence?
The only mentions of independence i have seen this election cycle has been these assertions from the OBA and a brief mention in the FDM platform/leaflet.

Instead of wondering what capable and steady hands means, perhaps Pearman should ask what does We Will Do better mean?
Does it mean we did so badly the last time that we are asking for another chance
Does it mean we will do better than the current government? IF so, how?
It sounds a child sent into time out by his parents and he is promising to do better if allowed to come back and play.

To me, capable and steady hands means calm and collected leadership that wont get flustered, but is well versed in how to handle challenging situations. it means a government led the way through the most difficult parts of a pandemic and guided us to safety. it means the PLP and David Burt, not the OBA and Craig Cannonier.

The focus, of course, is solely on Premier Burt. Like the focus of this whole Burt Election. This is a definite gamble on the strength [or otherwise] of his ‘cult of personality’.
