I guess you were looking for completely fresh faces? People who chose not to seek public office a month ago but now are ready to serve? Good luck with that.

Your point is moot. The FACT is that both the PLP and the OBA appoint people to the Senate that might not make it to the House. The Senate is also seen as a training ground for newbies or those who don’t make it the first time. Im not saying it’s the right thing to do. I’m just saying that is what happens. David Burt appointed Rolfe Commissiong to the Senate even though he resigned in disgrace. Ergo, your point is moot.

As for the OBA not grasping the seriousness of their decisions? Like what? Like get a hotel built? Like get an airport built (even though all the naysayers have NEVER come up with an alternative to get the thing built)? Oh please.

What are you moaning about? They didn’t make the House of Assembly, so what? It doesn’t mean they can’t contribute to the greater good. The Senate has long been a place for people who don’t make it to the House. Look around. The PLP do it too.
