You’ll get no argument from me on that.

“On tax reform, the Government is moving forward to establish the Tax Reform Commission with a view to receiving recommendations of possible improvements in Bermuda`s tax system by year end 2021″

Just make sure that your “tax reform” does not have same consequences as the “tax reform” of 2007-2008 that drove more than 5,000 tax payers away from Bermuda

Remember what happened following the “tax reform” of 2007, more than 5,000 people left Bermuda and the tax base shrunk. We have never recovered from that.

I have always liked Minister Dickinson. He can paint a pretty picture of a bleak future and look good at the same time.

The Pretty Lame Party has no clue. $357.6 MILLION in money is due the Government and it still cannot collect even 10%. The people in various departments who are responsible for collection still have their jobs.

It means they have another 5 years to keep their noses in the trough and mislead those who can be mislead….that’s all it means. By 2026 we will be deeper in debt but we will still have a plan and another plan after that.

Neither a shoreside fishing facility, nor electric vehicle recharging infrastructure is critical – bridges and roads are, yet no mention of these?

As long as no one gets sick, who cares about the economy. We need to close down everything to keep people from getting COVID. That is the only thing that matters. What use is an economy if another 12 people die?
