I was thinking the same thing – how do we still have locally transmitted positive cases while we are in lockdown? How are these positive cases happening? How quickly will they go up even higher when we ease restrictions? How is this happening in lockdown? Am I missing something?

I would rather be wrong but there is no way that Bermuda is getting back to normal anytime soon. We will open up on May 9 but cases will rise again. We are our own worst enemy and those who think this is all a joke will cause another spike in cases and deaths with their selfishness.

Yes, there is the date matter. We will have test results reflecting on date, deaths another, not to mention vaccination stats are days behind both, but all the figures are correct [which we are really saying for clarity for anyone else reading, not you personally, as we can tell you follow the stats closely]. We think the Govt does it this way to try to be as timely as able, with the aim to release what they can when they can, rather than delay it all. Tonight we expect to get both new test and vaccination data, so will have some more ‘up to date’ stats by later.

The number of 28,908 for registered vaccinations. No wonder they are so desperate to vaccinate and keep pushing it!!!!! Doesn’t seem as tho they are receiving anymore registrations. Makes you wonder.

The numbers are not consistent as to dates. Testing results are as at Saturday but deaths are as at Monday. The Government Covid update at May 3 says 29 deaths, one more in the 80+ year range from April 30 update, so unfortunately there is another death to be recorded to get to 30 as at May 3.

Hi, We believe the numbers are accurate, recall we had a weekend without results, which is unusual and may be what caused the confusion. Test results are normally announced like 2 days after the test, and the last results we had were on Friday, so likely from Wed tests. And the 545 and 426 figures are active cases (total cases minus deaths and recoveries) not total cases, so overall it all checks out to us.

Hi!
The days,dates and number of cases quoted in this article appear incorrect!
Thursday (April 29) cases were already reported on Friday (April30) and total cases reported to Friday were 545.
It is only by assuming the three results of 15,8 and 6 are for Friday,Saturday and Sunday reported on Monday to get a total cases reported of 426!
Viz: 545 +15+8+6 -146 -2= 426
Unless I’m missing something?

No update on the vaccinations so no transparency, but cases down, hospitalizations down and number in ICU down. Now open up the economy on May 9 to try and reduce the additional debt that will be needed to pay the Government payroll.
