If it’s illegal to ask a hospital employee if they are vaxxed, how then is it LEGAL for an immigration officer to ask travelers if they are vaxxed? And to then impose financial pain if they refuse to give their private medical info? How is that ok?

It is discriminatory. Let look at an example shall we:

You have a medical condition that requires you to fly out and be treated on top of that, that same medical condition is the cause of you not being able to get the vaccine as it could create complications and the Government expects people already strapped with medical cost then has to come back to a fine for going and as stated above imprisonment. What was the crime, medical complications?! No way around it this is discriminatory!

LOL all those people think they are virtuous, then telling others that aren’t vaccinated that you can’t use vendors they use (cause they are scarred). Let’s apply that to all vendors including I don’t know Lawyers and then you can even defend your own rights cause your not vaccinated.

Has the restriction on mixing between households been lifted or not. In one paragraph Minister Wilson says we are moving to phase 2 which will see the end of restriction on mixing of households, but then two paragraphs later she says we should still avoid it. Is it just me or does that seem contradictory?

The travel restrictions are such that everybody is included and required to undergo government quarantine unless they can demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated.

A fully vaccinated person is completely free to refuse disclosure of their vaccination status, in which case they will enter government quarantine like everyone else.

This is not discriminatory, because the individual retains the right to choose whether they are vaccinated, they choose whether they disclose their vaccination status, and they choose whether they travel.

This is completely different from being excluded from employment based on vaccination status.

Yes. In many jurisdictions, doctors are compelled to have a hep B vaccine, or they can’t work.

This does seem to be putting the rights of the hospital staff above the rights of patients.

When the Bermuda hospital board was questioned about if a patient had the right to know the vaccination status of the hospital staff that would be giving them treatment they replied that to demand the status of the staff by an employer would violate their human rights although the staff can volunteer the information. How then can the government demand to know anyone’s vaccination status and then act with extreme prejudice against anyone who chooses not to have the vaccine or anyone who has not been vaccinated? To demand that they must, upon forfeiting their status as not vaccinated, pay a minimum of $2800 plus meals for a pre booked at a hotel approved by them is gross abuse of human rights. They’re basically saying that failure to get vaccinated and entering this country will result in a fine and imprisonment!!! However if you are vaccinated and test negative before you get here you can go free anywhere. So the Premier even states that it only takes one person to put us back in this position of lock down stay at home state. Yet through the Premier’s example we know that a vaccinated person can contract the disease. Once contracted it is possible for them to pass it on however small a chance they say it is. That means one person can slip through the system, after doing something I am against for this very reason, and cause us all to suffer even if they are not Bermudian.

The bottom line is we all have to be treated equally and not discriminated against because we don’t want to take the vaccine. As they stated, the foreigners will simply be put back on a plane back to were they came from but the Bermudian will have to pay. On that note who is paying for the return flights??? The crazy thing is that the vaccinated person can test positive after being here and going everywhere and is only required to self isolate!!! So they can be that ONE PERSON and they still don’t have to pay!!! Who the **** is in charge??? Why are they in charge??? They should not be in charge!!!

Another painful piece of viewing, particularly the media question section. Surely the Dept of Communications, tests all the participants for audio and video before the broadcast? If so, why are there embarrassing delays before questioning begins? TNN cut out completely: is that because Trevor’s questions upset ‘Of Which’ Burt? You would think they would have the system down pat by now!

For those who can understand restrictions and do what is right we’re back to normal. We’ll make up rules that make sense. For those others, not sure what will happen because the police can’t even enforce speed limits so how can they enforce any of the new restrictions? Cases will increase but don’t even try to go back to lockdowns.
