SafeKey is designed to allow for increased access to activities that may be restricted (indoor dining, cupmatch). It was stated from day one that it would not be required for indoor dining when we reach phase 3 and will be used for large event exemptions going forwards.

However, the premise is to plan for the next outbreak for how businesses and our economy can be more likely to remain open despite community spread.

SafeKey for indoor dining will be reintroduced if and when we have a return of community spread and restrictions are needed. It’s far easier to broadly experiment with this new and unproven technology (and the mass number of restaurants and other participants that would need to get familiar with it) at the end of an outbreak when it’s less critical than at the beginning of one.

Continuing the curfew makes no sense either. It only creates more mental and financial hardship, Presumably it is to control the population, specifically because of the number of unvaccinated people. Martial law remains.
