I have worked in all 3 places. In Bermuda today (like most people) I pay 19% income (or payroll) tax, 10% into the mandatory pension, over $3,735 per year into the Government Pension that is billions in debt and from which I will probably never benefit.

Yes, I do pay taxes.

You sound like the average person who thinks that because we don’t have income tax (by name) or corporate profit tax that we’re a low tax jurisdiction.
If you had an idea of how much of every dollar we earn goes to government you’d have a very different outlook. So much so that you might want to stay where you are.

This government literally can’t do anything right. Why are we surprised that their covid policies are a complete disaster? We are ~65% vaccinated – there should be no restrictions whatsoever. Those who have chosen not to take the shot have made their bed. Let them sleep in it.
