The real fact is that the UBPOBA put us on a leach paying $185 mill for an unfinished hotel. The airport that was supposed to cost tax payers nothing has cost us over $25 mill and counting. So yes the UBPOBA has to say something about Bermuda’s NATIONAL DEBT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only if one assumes that the OBA had any control over the finances of Bermuda when it came to power in 2012. I seem to recall Bob Richards saying that our debt was structured such that we had to borrow money in order to meet interest payments on our debt.

If that is correct, it seems more likely that the debt doubled because of the way it was structured, not because of any particular political party.

The PLP really need to get an adult script writer. Clearly it’s the same person writing the OP Eds for Caesar and Swan too., but I suppose if they are communicating to their voter base, the style makes sense.
