Cut Government expenditure by $40m and no need to borrow. Stop the defined benefit pension plan and replace with contributory. Nothing will ever happen because it is an employment agency, paying top pay and benefits, supported by debt.
A balanced budget of course will not include the sinking fund contribution so there will still be deficit budgets going forward.

Kicking the can down the road, is that 20 years now? Sooner rather than later this house of cards will come crashing down and it will unfortunately be the PLP voters that bear the brunt of this disaster.

I truly hope Burt and his colleagues have a plan B for their voters. And Burtcoin isn’t the answer. Bermuda’s needs strong leadership not cowardice at this critical time.
