Good grief! And how much CO2 was generated in creating the Hydrogen gas? D'oh! ..... crickets... say what?

Forbes
Hydrogen’s “dirty secret” is that it is produced primarily from fossil fuels. Whether hydrogen is really “clean” depends on the method of production. Hydrogen can be produced by the electrolysis of water which uses elecrticity generated from fossil fuels. When electricity is used to produce hydrogen, thermodynamics dictate that you will always produce less energy than you consume.

In case you missed it:
>>> When electricity is used to produce hydrogen, thermodynamics dictate that you will always produce less energy than you consume. <<>> Today, close to 95 percent of hydrogen production is from fossil fuels like natural gas and coal. As a result, we emit 830 million tonnes of CO2 each year to produce 74 million tonnes of hydrogen. <<<
