All tropical rotating storms (typhoons in pacific, hurricanes in Atlantic (and technically eastern pacific off the coast of the USA), and cyclones in Indian oceans) can be referred to as cyclones – mainly due to their rapid cyclonic winds that either, typically, spin counter clockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern. Just fyi.

I do agree that it should be called a tropical depression then a hurricane as always but that’s where the confusion is, is that a hurricane (like all other TRS named above) is actually a cyclone as well.

A True Story . Some 25 years a go a Ttornado took the roof off some ten houses along Bobs valley lave
in Sandys parish. i was a workin a the Bermuda hoising Corporation at the time .
The general manage hauled me into his office ask me to go to Somerset and see what we could do to help.
Whe i arrived at bobs valley i could hardly beleive the devastation many women were crying in the street contractor we waiting to get to work I told each home owner to get a contractor and get the job started immediately and bring the bill in to us at the corporation for immediate payment, as we would deal with the respective insurance companies for settlement
This is how Bermuda comes together to help one another in time of need .
There were no” if and but”as no body deserves hardship no mater what, it is called” just do it “.
All the contractors got on with it.

The bill for all the work were more than fair some contractors did not include their labor.

You need a portable cement factory in the back of your truck.

Ledders. Staging Small crane trucks all helps also bucket a rope to dip water .

All Building supply stores shop should be open and available with pre printed payment guarantee for billing by hand billing.
Even the pie carts should be on the move .

Contractors put you cement mixer in the truck and leave it there after a load of sand and as many bags of cement you can carry, you will have a portable cement factory .

Other service the trucks can carry & can deliver sand while still others car deliver a load cement bags all for drop off where needed .

where is the STATE & SAND & CEMENT coming from?
Get that a head of time so you are ready to go.

Contractors should go to the BHC to make the selves available by arangement to do work
contractors should pre arrange for thei workers to be available
the BIU can get involved with staffing
REMEMBER
No electricity = No communications use police for that = No water pump available > get rope and buckets
portable generators are required, and night lighting also . Every body in the building trade should be available ,including insurance agents.
Our Women will provide food a drinks.

Is this woke talk, or serious climate change? A cyclone is a storm in the eastern hemisphere. Here they are storms then hurricanes. Another sad example of poor education.
