When the airlines, restaurants and cruise ship agents complain that their numbers are very low then I will believe that people cannot afford food and food cost are too high. No complaints about the bigger cars they are buying. No complaints about the cost of their carnival outfits. Lots of these “helping” programmes are making Bermudians complain more to get more. When these programmes disappear , folks will find legal ways to make ends meet and to save. OK. Keep giving and the numbers in the food lines will grow bigger until the numbers in the cruise and car lines decline. It is not being cruel. And because of such programmes,we will continue to reap what we sow.
