Because Bermuda's Superyacht Legislation wasn't enacted until 2020, and it sets out what Bermuda defines as a Superyacht, we have to do our own thing.

However, overall, these numbers look pretty impressive. Despite the internal headwinds and Politricks, growth is growth, and it seems like BTA is moving full steam ahead.

Kudos to the people at the BTA who are constantly criticized and under the microscope, though they still turn up every day and get results.

It is the only publicly funded entity I know of that is not for locals, so criticism runs rampant. They do what is best for the tourists, as that is their mandate, which is precisely why officials, especially Ministers and government-elected officials, should have nothing to do with it. There is a conflict of ideals.

That is not to say they operate without oversight. Maybe operate with orders to give up the PGA exemption to a Government minister who also sits on their board and the board of the golf course it is being played at. Maybe give it to some of note that will actually promote the island.

Hey, just me.

Thanks for the work you do, BTA
