On the plus side, there is no suggestion of an EV for every current car owner, solar panels for every homeowner, or funding an offshore wind farm.

Personally, I would like to see some money set aside to educate government employees, so that millions of dollars do not have to be spent on hiring consultants, and there is no need to seek input from the community about things the government should already know. Anyone can push papers; we need bureaucrats who can add value. And no, it is too early in the day for me to hit a bottle. I just like to dream.

I did say meaningful, not $1000, but $20,000 for employing and $50,000 for promoting a Bermudian. Come on the Southampton Princess ain’t paying tax for some time. Where is the equity and balance. Those international companies not worth it?????

There is a meaningful cost benefit to hiring Bermudians. No work permit.

I agree with you about the costs of a tax authority for income tax. The cost of the authority will outweigh any benefit.

Why is there no meaningful tax benefit for hiring Bermudians. Bermudians need jobs, they need not to be looked over. Too many expats are doing jobs Bermudians are qualified for and have good experience in. Too many expats have been living in Bermuda for too long and reducing the opportunity for promotion and career growth.
for Bermudians.

The tax reform should have covered meaningful tax benefits to employers who employ and promote Bermudians.

Forget a personal income tax, the cost of managing, reviewing and administering that that will outweigh the benefits here.
