The picture above shows that the single white line marking along the middle of the road appears in poor condition, with the appearance that the the line which has not been serviced for the last 50 years, this situation frequently appears all over the island and in many areas the line is non existent.

Many commercial vehicle drivers rely on the division line for proper steering.

Both the yellow and white lines have several functions including advanced warning to drivers not park near or overtake other vehicles.
The danger exists if your vehicle get hit by a truck the chance of personal survival may be reduced.

With the increase in traffic in my opinion overtaking others is no longer practical or safe to do so, as there is always another vehicle coming from the other side.

Night driving with out the aid on the center line is dangerous.
Apparently the lack of proper road markings do not meet international agreements.
