Thank you for this candid review. I particularly like your remarks about the creation of a National choir for boys and young men. This has immense power to empower and unify our young men. Choirs, hymns, church and gospel have been part and parcel of Bermuda culture. The Smithsonian Institution even highlighted this as being a valued aspect of our culture. In today’s climate, the powers that be are not as eager to recognise this and seem to have different priorities. Mr. Butler, you have contributed so much to youth development and culture in Bermuda. I am personally indebted to you for your book on “Raising boys in Bermuda.’ You have created and fine-tuned an effective strategy for the growth and development of boys that does not get the recognition it deserves. I hope the Minister takes heed. Thank you!
