Bulley-Graham-Rawlins Funeral Home. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alda Serodeo Furtado Carreiro of Paget Parish in her 82nd year. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Carreiro and a loving mother to Evelyn [Ricky] Carreiro-Garrafa and Nelia Carreiro [Gladwin Phillips].
Alda was also a grandmother to Zoe Phillips and the sister of Evelina Furtado Simas and Ilda Furtado, along with many other family members too numerous to mention. Special acknowledgements to Casey’s Limited, the Phillips, Waite, and Place families, the Garrafa and Mello families, Evelyn Richardson and Tina DeCouto. Alda was predeceased by her siblings: her brother Silvino Furtado and her sisters Ines Furtado Medeiros, Odilia Furtado Garcia, and Maria de Deus Furtado.
The funeral Mass will take place at St. Theresa’s Cathedral, Cedar Avenue, Pembroke, on Friday, 9th of January 2026 at 1:30 pm. Interment to follow immediately after the service at Holy Calvary Cemetery, Roberts Avenue, Devonshire.
