A homegoing service for Brackston [Braxton] Ronald Llewellyn Simmons, son of the late Norma DeShields [nee Simmons], late Jerome “Tiger’ DeShields and late Frederick Perinchief; Life partner of the late Ida-May Mienzer; loving father of Linda Bogle-Mienzer [Christine] and Roseann ‘Buffy Mienzer; Grandfather of Rakeem Hollinsid and Nazari Mienzer; brother of David Simmons [Patricia], Harold Simmons [Jennifer], D.Y. Diann Smith [Trevor-deceased], Dennis [Sheree] and Keith DeShields, Nikitta Talbot, the late Calvin DeShields [Emily], Jerome and Frederick Simmons, in his 78th year of 6 Cherry Dale, Smiths, will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Devonshire, today, May 30th, 2025 at 11am. Visitation will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Devonshire, today, May 30th, 2025 at 10:00 am to 10:50 am. Internment to follow at St John’s Cemetery.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: nieces and nephews: David Grant, Kemo, Kion and Umiko Simmons, Anika, DeShion, DeShae, Marquel and Travis DeShields, Tiara and Taylor Talbot. David Jr, Joann, Eugene, Carlton, Norman, Derek [deceased], Dion, Shannon Bell, Letisha Esnard, Nique, Tamisheka, Kashima, Quito Swan. Aunt: Hewlett Simmons. Sisters-In-Law: Lorriane Swan [Alfred ‘Nick’], Aloma Hunt [Shirley – deceased], Linda Hodge-deceased [Malvin], Sylvia Esnard [deceased].
Special Friends: Larry ‘Cracks’ Darrell, Oscar Samuels, Maxwell ‘Mackie’ Simons, Pamela Hodgson, Shirley Lewis, Young Men Social Club Crew, Belco Crew and numerous cousins and friends.
