A Memorial service for Brent Dexter Burgess, son of the late James [Alexander] and Helen Gloria-Jean Burgess, father to Kyle Smith-Burgess and Caleb Smith, brother of Roosevelt Hall [Deborah], Clinard “Butch” Burgess, Barry Dickinson [Denise], Wanda Stuhlpfarrer [Heinz], and the late Lorna [Joeann] Smith [Chester] and Savannah Cann. He resided at Pearman’s Hill West Warwick and passed away in his 58th year, will be held at St. John’s Church, Pembroke on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment to follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory his brother-in-law: Chester Smith; aunts and uncles: Marlene Hart [Roger], Marie Butterfield, Clarissa Foggo, Vernon Burgess [Barbara-Jean], Charles [Winslow] Burgess; nieces and nephews: Abeni [Freddy], Bakari, Barry Jr., Jibri, Lakeisha, Nyree, Rashida, Amiya, Bakari Jr., Elrico, Freddy, Jaylen, Jordyn, Kruz, Lara, Manslee Jr., and Taiese; goddaughter: Sierra Woodley; special friend: Shawn Woodley; other family members, cousins, friends too numerous to mention by name.
