Cleveland Javed Patrick “CJ” Wade Jr.

It is with much love and sadness that we announce the passing of Cleveland Javed Patrick “CJ” Wade Jr. He was the beloved son of Clevie and Leola and treasured brother to Zana [Kashe].

The Homegoing Service celebrating his life will be held tomorrow Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00am at St. Anne’s Church, Southampton. The Interment will follow the service at St. Anne’s Church Cemetery. There will be no viewing.

The following special people have predeceased CJ: Papa Olin Jones Sr.; Papa Calvin Wade Sr.; Grandma Louise Simmons; Aunt Dorothy White; Godma Karen Lister Burch.

The family would like to send our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at KEMH and Brigham and Women’s Hospital [Boston], Dr. Jones, Dr. Outerbridge, Dr. Taneya Burch, Rochelle Wilkinson, Courtney Kromko, Wyonnie Tucker & Family, Edna-Mae Tuzo, Southampton Rangers Sports Club, The Butler Committee

CJ had a positive impact on all who knew him. He was truly well loved. CJ will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered. CJ’s favorite color was purple, but colors may be worn.
