With heavy hearts, we regret to announce the peaceful passing of Colin Edmund Rowntree at his home ‘Bali Hai’, 04 Bayfield Road, Warwick, in his 94th year. Colin was the beloved husband of Kathy, devoted father to Jenni [Martin] and Lauren [James], and treasured Papa to Addy and Owen. Colin will be missed by many, including brother David [Wendy], sister-in-law, Maria, nieces and nephews Debbie [Bill], Barbara [Jeff], Cindy, Keith [Kristy], their children, and grandchildren, Sandra [Stuart] and his family from the late Muriel Rowntree: stepdaughter Penny [Michael] and step-grandchildren Tanya, Georgina, Ceri, Richard, Adam, their spouses, and children. Sister-in-law Julie, and nieces Tonya, Danielle [Steven], Lisa, and their children Shelby, Kaylah, Callum, Henrik, and Aliyah.
Known as “Collie” he will be fondly remembered by Jenni’s stepchildren, Allison, Jacob, and Leanna. Many other cherished friends, of note, Betty and Alex, Doreen and Charles, and his breakfast buddies at Island Cuisine. Predeceased are his parents, Edmund [Teddy] and Dorothy [Dorrie] nee Leaman, Aunt Nell, Aunt Inez, and Uncle Jim, sister Peggy [Colin], brother Michael, cousin Peter, stepson Richard, brothers-in-law Jimmy and Andrew, as well as many friends who have gone before.

The family would like to thank Roseann Key of PALS and his other caregivers during his final days at home. The funeral will take place on Friday, May 9th at 3:30 pm at Christ Church Warwick. The interment will follow immediately after the service at Christ Church Warwick Cemetery. Colours are encouraged.
