Cornelius Outerbridge [Neil] “C.O.” Cooper

A service celebrating the life of Cornelius Outerbridge [Neil] “C.O.” Cooper, in his 93rd year, beloved husband of the late Liesbeth Cooper [nee Leyds], will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Bailey’s Bay, on Friday, August 29th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Neil was the loving father to Sacha and Andrew [Jane].
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chiara Damiano Antoni [Tawfiq], Kate Cooper, and Peter Cooper; and great-grandchildren, Miral and Leo Antoni. Lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Marietta Leyds, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Canada, Holland, and France. Special thanks to devoted caregiver, Cynthia Martin. Also, thanks to Josephine Little, Lecolia Caines, Dalinda Burgess and Lenora Maloney for their attentive care. The family is very grateful to Doctors Heather Montgomery, Shane Marshall, John Doherty, Gordon Kooiman, Michael Czerwinski and Line Moulin. Thanks also to Nurse Debbie and Nurse Christina at Island Health and Nurse Anneke at Island Urology.
In addition, we wish to thank Archdeacon John Stow for his spiritual guidance over the years and the Rev. Thomas Nisbett for conducting the funeral service in Archdeacon Stow’s absence.
