Augustus Funeral Home regrets to announce the passing of Cuthbert Llewellyn “Lew” Simmons.

A homegoing service for Cuthbert Llewellyn “Lew” Simmons, son of the late Addison and Muriel Simmons, former husband to the late Olivia Simmons, and loving father to Khamisi Tokunbo [Deborah], Dr. Llewellyn Simmons, Cindy Pearman [Roddy] and Carol-Ann Simmons [Lucie]; Brother to Oriel Butterfield [Dennis] and Anthony Durrant [Michelle]; the late: Gladstone Simmons, Sr., Gloria Wade [James], Donald Simmons [Elsie], and Barbara Smith [Stanfield], in his 93rd year, of Cricket Lane, Sandys, will be held at St. James Church in Sandys, on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 12 pm.

Interment will follow at St James Church Cemetery in Sandys.

There will be no viewing.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved grandchildren: Moriba Tokunbo, Tselehstiya Krijger [Moeilijk], Rasheed Pearman [Akilah], Naji Pearman [Semora], and Jerusa Garner-Simmons; great grandchildren: Gyasi Tokunbo, Kiorah, Masai and Navi Pearman; and Nai’Jaan, Ta’tsori, Qi’taaro, Raiedon and Xariele Krijger; nieces: Andrea Wade, Donna Simmons, Denise Mitchell, Deniette McCallan [Byron], Dr. Dena Phipps [Bennett], Kimberley Durrant, Lita Smith and Cheryl Wade; nephews: Andrew Wade, Gladstone Wade, Jr., Stanfield Smith [Sandra], Dr. Donald Simmons [Norette], Keith Simmons [Deborah], and Nikai Durrant; sisters-in-law: Betty Smith and Maxine Minors; godchildren: Clarence Dill, Leanne Hollis, and Selena Smith; special cousin: Calvin “Bummy” Symonds and family; special friends: John “Mussie” Fox, Marion, Clyde “Tango” Burgess, Myron Tucker, Claudette Baisden, Sheldon Darrell; The Talbot and Christopher families; Somerset Cricket Club Community; and many other cherished family and friends too numerous to mention.

He was also predeceased by grandson Tse’tori Krijger; niece Francine Matthews; nephews: Ralph Wade and Gladstone Simmons, Jr.; sisters-in-law: Ismay Ming and Patricia Hill-Joseph; and brother-in-law: George Minors.
