With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Edna Rubena Trimm, at the age of 92. Daughter of Lionel and Louise Trimm, she was predeceased by her beloved brothers, Leon “Sony,” Arnold, and Stanley Trimm [Merl], and her cherished sister, Elaine Durrant.

Edna was resilient, possessed unshakable faith, and shared love and kindness with all who knew her. A devoted mother, grandmother, cousin, and friend, her legacy of love, wisdom, and selflessness will remain etched in the hearts of her family and community.

Edna, a matriarch of strength and grace, was the devoted mother of Stanley Trimm [predeceased], Charlene Outerbridge, Marilyn Ball [Robert], Winston Trimm [Andrea], Deborah Trimm, Freda Trimm [Derek], and Cindy Trimm-Tomlinson [Russell] and she opened her heart to numerous adopted “children.”

She leaves a legacy of love to her nieces, nephews and their families: Louise Smith [Dexter, predeceased], Cheryle Trimm, Mary Durrant Castro [Samuel], Arthur “Carl” Durrant Jr. predeceased, [Corrine], Ricardo Durrant [Lavette], Patricia Trimm, Leta Fubler [Claude], Tracey and Trina Trimm, Gary and Ricky Trimm, Roger Trimm [Debra].

Her memory lives on through her treasured grandchildren: Marvin [Nadine]; Leticia Francis [Alvin]; Winnette [Keivon], Laquita, Ashauntae, Aaron, and Rachel; Reaia Ball; Savone Greene [Thayne]. She was blessed with great-grandchildren Ashe, Asia, Ari, Riel, Sadie, Shani, and Josiah, and great-great-grandchildren Zaya and Britain, who were the joy of her later years.

A celebration honoring Edna’s extraordinary life and legacy will be held on December 19, 2024 at The Chapel Hamlet, Constitution Road Morgan’s Point, Sandy’s SN 02 at 12:00 noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army, Hamilton, Bermuda, in her memory to HSBC account 010202539001 BD$ [memo field: Edna Trimm]; a tribute to her generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others. Her warmth, strength, and compassion will be deeply missed but forever remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.
