Amis Memorial Chapel regrets to announce the passing of Elizabeth Gouveia-DeSousa in her 71st year of Paget Parish, Bermuda, the beloved wife of Manuel Gouveia-DeSousa; loving mother to daughter Ann Fagundo [Frank] and her late son Edward Ricardo Gouveia-DeSousa [Eddie]; beloved grandmother to Diego Fagundo and Savannah Fagundo. She is predeceased by her parents Daniel Melo Carvalho and Maria Leontina Carvalho and her brother Daniel George Carvalho.
Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory sisters Mary Faries [Hubert] and Helen Lima [Joe]; sisters in law Fernandina Amaral [late Joe] and Filomena Estrella [late Jose]; brother-in-law Jose Gouveia Sousa [Teresinha], several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends both locally and overseas, too numerous to mention.
The Funeral will take place at St. Patrick’s Church in Smith Parish on Monday, March 30th. 2026. The Rosary will be prayed at 1.30pm and the Funeral Mass will commence at 2.00pm.
The interment of ashes will follow immediately after the service at Holy Calvary Cemetery, Roberts Avenue, Devonshire.
