A homegoing service for Ervin Gladwin Young also known as “Shoe Young”, in his 94th year of Look Out Lane Devonshire, will be held at St John’s Anglican Church Pembroke on Friday 20th 2025 at 12 pm, Interment to follow at, Pembroke Parish Cemetery Visitation will be held at Augustus Funeral Home on Thursday Feb 19th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Ervin Gladwin Young is the husband of the late Glenda Harriett Anne Young, loving father to Ervinette, Ervin Jr. and the late Gladwin and Earlston Young, son to the late Ashley & Miriam Young and brother to Keith Young, grandchildren: Omar, Ian and Erica Young, Sadae Bean, Asiyah James Young and Keisha Riley, and great-grandchildren: Dae Simmons, Jadae Bean, Dorjah Philpott, Azhai Young-Trott, Giselle, Andre, Ian, Isaac and Sierra Young, sisters-in-law: Gwendolyn Young, Phoebe Douglas, Noie Douglas. Godchildren: Derek Smith, Candace Burrows, special nieces: Ismay Cartwright, Juanita Curtis, Cheryl Young, special nephew: Raymond Young, Special families: Young, Webb [Canada], Smith, Joseph, Trott, Jones, Douglas & Stevens, special friends: John Roach, the late Frederick Littlejohn, Phyliss [Warren] Busby, Ina Shabazz [Burchall] and the late Sadie Young, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Predeceased by brothers – Wellington Young-Burrows, Ashley, Quinton, Raymond and Gregory Young, sisters Ismay Johnston, Elaine [Prudy] Astwood and Oreta Young.
